Witchy Books To Read In October

It's the MOST wonderful TIIIIIIIIIIIME of the YEARRRRRR... For some of us anyway.
October, the spookiest of all months. The time when fall is finally here and burnt orange is a completely acceptable color to wear in Oklahoma... The time of the year when us curlyheads* can finally relax.  I was on the phone with my father this weekend and he described the air as having that fall smell. I was on my couch but I smelled it, almost tasted it... Ok, on to the point of this post. My favorite witchy books...

You will notice that I am a huge Paula Brackston fan! Her stories will pull you in from the very beginning. I could not get enough of this book and the sequel was just as enchanting.

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I wanted to be Tegan so terribly bad. lol

Scandalouuuuuuus. That's all I have to say about that.

I have not read this yet but it will be next! Eek!

I wanted to scream at Morgana to use her words like a big girl... I fell in love with how much of a gentleman Cai Jenkins was and cheered for him the entire book. On the other hand, I cannot imagine being forced to marry a stranger. I'd raise hell for suuuuuure.

I envied Tilda and pitied her as well. I can't imagine losing my husband but I would have done exactly as she. I became her biggest fan when she saved her dog. Go Tilda!

One of my favorites so far! And PLOT TWIST! But I saw it coming. You will too. It was so easy to picture these characters, their home, the garden. I wanted to jump in and live magically ever after in Massachusetts.

I wanted to tell Elinor to get over herself. I wanted to tell Jenny to open her eyes. And Stella...I wanted to tell her to love her mother. Stella's gift gets them involved with a murderer. Her mom is in love with her uncle and Stella falls in love with a juvenile delinquent. It's all around entertaining.

I have somehow misplaced the first book of this trilogy (A Discovery of Witches). But I couldn't wait to read book after book. So the lion falls in love with the lamb....

I was reading this book until I left it at my in-laws home 6 HOURS AWAY! But so far it is fun and a great escape from the real world.

After I left my book in Oklahoma, I had to make my next choice. Bingo! It was meant to be because this book comes before "A Hat Full of Sky" in the Discworld Series!!! YAY. Now I understand so much more about this little blue guys.

Have you ever hugged a book after you've finished it? lol Well, we were on a plane to Seattle when I did just that. Gina looked at me like I was a lunatic but hey! I absolutely loved it and I'm pretty sure I found it at Dollar General for $3. Double whammy.

If you've ever been to Salem, you'll understand the seriousness that lingers in the air along with the history and fun you experience around Halloween. This is definitely a book you'll want to read more than once.

I hope whoever is reading this gets a chance to read at least one of these books. Then we can be weirdos and talk about it! Yay!

*Curlyheads are people with curly hair. Duh. It's our time to shine! Creep it real.
Love, Syd.
